The original Ford Ka has been made since the early 1996 while the previous model was on the market for only a few years until it was retired completely. This was mostly because the price wasn’t that good due to the fact that it was a Fiat 500 based car. The 2015 Ford Ka on the other hand has been designed from scratch by Ford Brazil, meaning it has its own platform as well as having Ford only engines. Being designed in house also means that the Ka looks a lot better than before and it is also a much more usable cars thanks to the four door and five seats setup.
The base price for this hasn’t been announced just yet but considering it will be first launched in Brazil and in South America, it will probably cost around 10.000 dollars for the base model if not a bit more. In Europe and in the rest of the World, the new Ka will come by the end of 2015 and it is expected to cost around 10.000 euro for the base model and as much as 14.000 euro for the top end model.

2015 Ford KA exterior
Its exterior is going to look a lot like the new Fiesta rather than the old Ka. The front end borrows heavily from the new Fusion with the LED headlights while at the back, it does resemble a bit the new Focus. The wheels are going to be 15 inch steel rims as standard while the options are going to get 16 inch alloys.
2015 Ford KA engine
Engine wise, the 2015 Ford Ka will get a 1 liter EcoBoost engine with 85 horsepower and 77 lb-ft of torque which will be mated to a 5 speed manual. A 6 speed automatic is likely to follow shortly after the initial launch. A Sport Ka has also been rumored. This would get a 1 liter EcoBoost with up to 123 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque which would easily became one of the best compact cars on the market. A diesel will also come in Europe only. This will be a 1.5 liter TDCI unit with around 70 horsepower and a fuel consumption of just 3.6l/100km.
